European Triathlon Championships

As many members prepare for Hell of the West, one man has taken on a bigger challenge and will represent club and country this weekend. Best of luck to Paul Minahan as he heads off with Team Ireland to Pontevedra in Spain tomorrow to compete in the European Triathlon Championships at the weekend. Best of luck to everyone in Kilkee this weekend. No doubt the celebrations will last into the wee hours. Keep her lit.......

Report from TriAthy 2011

Johnathan Robinson was second placed in the junior event, beating off stiff local competition to claim two spots up from last years outing. Was it the new shoes, his new hairstyle, his laid-back approach? Johnathan answers some of these important questions in his excellent race report. Enjoy it here.

PS if Johnathan inspires you to write your own report, I am still missing one for TriAthy Olympic / Double Olympic, Portlaoise Try-athlon and Nenagh / North Tipp Sprint. Share your thoughts with the club and drop me a few words (karl@trilogy.ie).

Speedy Recovery Dave

Our Chairman Dave Osburn took a tumble off his bike on the Wicklow 200k today - bad gash on forhead & superficial grazes. After a check up at Tallagh Hospital he has been sent home, that sounds good. As far as I know all other club members got home in one piece. GET WELL SOON DAVE.

TriAthy Marshall Survey

I would like to say a big thank you to all the members of Trilogy Triathlon, and the people they brought along, who together made the weekend such a huge success.

The great Roy Keane famously said 'Fail to Plan, and you can Plan to Fail'; this is true, but I am sure Captain Keane would agree that without a world-class team behind him, the best-made plan in the world would not succeed.

As you know I am involved with the race through the year, and a lot of the time I spend planning how the TriAthy weekend will go. That the race turned out to be an outstanding success is not because of my plans, it is because I had the right team to make the plan happen.

Your input has not gone unnoticed either - almost 95% of finishers who have answered the competitor survey for TriAthy reckon we are as good, or better than, marshalls at other races!

So - well done everyone, once again you have done the club proud.

As part of the plan for 2012, I would like to know what you made of it all. Your feedback, like your input, is crucial, and I would be grateful if you could share it with me by clicking into the short survey below.

Thank You Everybody

Thank You to all the marshalls who helped out over the weekend. You made TriAthy a huge success yet again and delivered a great, safe, enjoyable race to over 2000 competitors. Well done to everyone, you did Trilogy proud again. Now lets relax and enjoy the season and roll on Hell of the West.

FINAL Marshall Postings - Now Available

The final marshall postings are now available.

Please note: about 1-in-3 people have had their times changes, whether by request, or in some cases, we needed to move some people around. Wherever possible we tried to keep the same times and similar duties, but in some cases this was not possible.

Please check them out by Clicking Here.

If you have a difficulty, please check with your lead marshall who will make alternative arrangements.

Roll on the weekend!
