Test Duathlon 2 Report & Results
By all accounts yesterday's duathlon was a competitive affair across all categories. Trish and Sinead battled it out to lead the ladies, with Sinead winning the battle in the end and claiming first ranking after two events. Shane Delaney replicated this in the mens series, tying on time with Stephen O'Toole, but awarded the overall win on the basis of ranking number 1 in two of the three legs. Peter Travers and Murt Keane battled it out for 3rd and 4th, the placing going to Travers as his two impressive run results trumped Murts excellent bike split.
In the Junior series, Michael Dalton, who we know as a strong Thursday night swimmer proved that he can also give it a lash on the bike and run legs. Ross Byrne put up a strong challenge and made sure of his number 1 series rank, but was left with second place on the day behind Dalton. Sean McCormack also made a debut, checking out the course and making a benchmark to beat next time.
Just a reminder to all concerned that we do need help to pull this series off. Terry has taken on a lot of work in organising the race and compiling the results, abd believe me, its a lot easier to do this when you don't have to stress about help. So well done Terry on organising another great event, and a big thank you to the helpers who produce a perfect set of timing results.
