Portlaoise Try-athlon - Marshall Appeal
Following a meeting last night, Race Director Alan Cussen would like to start the appeal for Marshalls. The race is today less than three months away, and Alan and his team want to get an idea of who will be available to assist on the day.
To make the race the huge success we want it to be, we will need over 70 bodies across the pool, transition, bike, run and finish line sections.
Text later this week - please respond
The first text about this will send next week, and Alan would really like to hear back from you to get an initial idea of numbers.
members wishing to race
Alan has also clarified the position on club members racing. There will be a small number of 'stand-by' places available to the club for its members, but these will be offered only to people who have their name down to marshall.
The message is this - if you have any interest in racing Portlaoise Try-athlon, you need to have your name down as a marshall to have any chance. Members who do not volunteer may not race. The only exception to this is for brand new members, and for junior members.
