The above race is now closed for our club race entry service. However it remains open for the time being on Triathlon Ireland. Use the following link to enter this race yourself.

It's a standard distance race to take place on Saturday the 7th of July.

Changes to Training

Please note spinning tonight is at 8pm not 8.30pm. As there are now 2 runs during the week we are reverting to a cycle session on Saturday and Sunday at 9.30am. The meeting point for the run and cycles will be the Lesiure Centre in Portlaoise in future for ease of parking. Please see the Calendar.

Weekend Away

Something to think about - the Club Subsidized Weekend Away will be 4/5 August - Brian Boru Tri in Killaloe. There will be a Sprint & Olympic Distance which are both National Series. Relay teams can also enter - something for everyone.
Do we have a volunteer to orgainze accommodation - please contact me on 0863866046.
There will be club race entry service for this up in due course.

Training

Check out Calendar on web page for weeks training.
Note we are now using the Portlaoise Leisure Centre as our meeting point.
Sat cycle will be approx 40km with an optional run after - no need to worry about parking meters now. This would be a good session for newbes as Sun cycles are over the 50km mark.

Race Entry Service

Hi Guys, the Race Entry Service for Hook or by Crook, Hell of the West and the Rosslare Pikeman Races are now available through your membership profile. Entry for Hook or by Crook and Hell of the West closes Monday 27th Feb at 12 midnight due to those races opening this week. Book now. There will be a second round of entries for HOTW in 2 weeks time. Rosslare is limited to 200 people and is now open.

Test Duathlon 2

Hi Guys, I am aware that some members have not been able to reply to the text today. Please email me at dave@trilogy.ie if you have had a problem. I will post the list of competitors tomorrow. So far no one has volunteered to marshall save Mark McManus. We need more marshalls so don't be shy.

Hi Guys, Joey Hannon opens for entries today. The Race Entry Service will not apply to this race and anyone intending to compete must enter themselves. The race is on the weekend after TriLaois so will be one of the first races for us this year. There is a Try a Tri, Sprint and Olympic. There has been a huge Trilogy entry in previous years and this is one of our most popular races. Check out www.limericktriathlon.com .

Test Duathlon 2

Hi Guys, Test Duathlon 2 will take place on the Heath next Sunday the 26th February. Registration at 11am. First Runner at 12pm. The usual text will be sent on Thursday to which all participants and marshalls can reply to in order to sign up. Remember participants must have their TI Cards to race. See you all there.

Get Well Soon

Our Secretary Seamus Fingleton has suffered a broken ankle while in Australia. We all wish him a speedy recovery in the warm sunshine downunder.

Test Duathlon 2

Test Duathlon 2 shall take place on Sunday the 26th February at 12pm on the Heath. Set up and Registration at 11am. The usual texts shall be sent out on Thursday the 23rd for members to enter or help.

Test Duathlon 2 Postponed

Questionaire

Hi Guys, I have received a request from a local lady who is doing a masters in sports management for interested parties to complete a questionaire as to why people do triathlons. It will take 5 minutes to complete. She is looking for 20-30 people to answer the questionaire. If you can help please email me at dave@trilogy.ie and I will send you the questionaire. I will pick them up at Swimming or Running.

St Patricks Day 5k Run

Portlaoise Athletic Club are hosting the annual Property Properly Streets of Portlaoise Run on the 17th March. Registration through runireland.com. Registration from 9am in the Heritage. Race starts at 11.30am. €15 for adults. €10 for under 18's. €2 for teh Juvenile 1 k race. Cash Prizes. Could be a good way of working up a thirst!!! Prizegiving and changing facilities in the Heritage Hotel

Weekend Training and Racing

Hi Guys,

There will be no run this Saturday but there will be a cycle from the Gym at 9.30.

Test Duathlon 2 will commence at 12pm this Sunday (12th Feb) at 12pm on the Heath. The usual text will be sent on Thursday. If you cannot race please sign up to help out. The more the merrier!

Trilogy Wall Planner

This year our calendar is taking the form of a wall planner. It will be printed on A3 good quality glossy paper. Six months per side. There will be some room for you to add your own notes, with of course a selection of club photos to enjoy.

They are available to buy as a set of two. You may choose to hang both up side by side to view the year in full or perhaps keep one for the office wall.

The set of two will cost you €5.00. You may order and pay for this by logging into the members area in the usual manner. PLEASE ORDER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS WE WANT TO SEND THESE TO PRINT ON MONDAY MORNING. Thank you.
