Brian Boru - Killaloe- Weekend Away

Susan Wall has been doing great work in organising accommodation for everyone in Killaloe this year. So much so we can now confirm that the club subsidised cost to individuals will be €15.00 pp/night as was hoped. This price is partly thanks to Susan and thanks to your support when it comes to marshaling for Tri Laois and most especially Tri Athy.

It's unclear yet when this race opens for entry. Séamus & the race entry team are getting those of you who have pre-booked into their race ahead of it opening. However, you may still enter yourselves on race entry opening day. We will post the opening date as soon as we hear of it. Please let us know if you see this before we do.

It's not too late to book your accommodation either. The more the merrier in Kilaloe for this race and it's a fantastic opportunity to try a relay too if you're a bit anxious about doing the full race. The payment system for the accommodation will be set up in the coming weeks.

Naas Duathlon 3 (The hot one)

20 celsius and a refreshing breeze made for good racing at punchestown for 5 trilogy heads today. David Wilkes, Rory Morrissey, Alan Hewison, Trevor Kavanagh and Dave Osborne saddled up for in the green, blue and white. The racing was hot and hard but it wasn't Rorys day with a puncture on the bike turn. Two age group wins for Alan and Dave made it a good days racing for Trilogy. Roll on Test Tri 1 on the 14th April.

Volunteer for Portlaoise Tryathlon 21st April 2012

You can now sign up to help out at Portlaoise Tryathlon, all help will be greatly appreciated. Goody bag to all volunteers and food provided for the day also. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Tri Laois

Tri Laois is now less than 4 weeks away and Sinead and her team are working hard to make it better than ever. There is a Junior Race this year which will be held before the senior race. We will be contacting all members who agreed to marshall Tri Laois soon. Keep Saturday the 21st April free to help out.

Brian Boru Accomodation & Race Closing Midday

Hi all,

Please sign up now for Brian Boru if you haven't already done so, so that we can include you in the bulk race entry list this weekend. We expect accommodation will cost no more than 20 euro/person per night. As the booking fee of 20e doesn't permit the option of booking for two, I need to ask you to text your accommodation numbers to 0861777999.  This is important so that we can proceed with booking the accommodation. Roll on August Bank Holiday.

Brian Boru & our weekend away

Brian Boru as you probably know will be our club weekend away this year. Like last year the club is organising accommodation on your behalf. As it's on a bank hol weekend we need to get moving on this ASAP. With that in mind we need you to pay your booking deposit of 20 euro to secure your place, by logging in on Trilogy and selecting the appropriate product. We will let you know the full price of the weekend in due course, but rest assured the club will subsidise this as was done last year by way of thank you for helping out at Tri Laois and Tri Athy.

THE RACE:

Brian Boru organisers have very kindly offered to pre-book our race places for our race entry team before the race goes live by way of thanks to us for choosing their race as our weekend away.

In order that we can get you in for this we ALSO need you to book your race too.

Both the accommodation AND the race entries will be closing this Friday at Midday.

Race Entry Service

Hi guys.

Patrick has posted a number of races on Trilogy for our club race entry service. Sign in to view them. We need helpers to be available for some of these races to assist with race entry. Please feel free to email myself or Dave Osborne if you think you might be able to help. Please also ensure your profile details are filled in correctly, esp with TI number, log in and password information. Not having this information slows the race entry process. Now go get yourself signed up for Brian Boru, our club weekend away race. It promises to be a great weekend.

TD3 Results

Well done to all the competitors today and many thanks to all the marshalls and supporters. A very mild day with little or no wind meant that times were good with a husband and wife PB and Rory taking an incredible 12 minutes off his PB. Ladies : Sinead Wearen 44.13, Susan Wall 49.52 (PB), Cora Keenan 56.27 (PB). Men : Dave Osborne 37.41, Murt Keane 40.33, Liam Byrne 41.24, Pawel Debakowski 41.29, Rory Morrissey 42.35 (PB), John Keenan 42.41 (PB), Anthony McDonald 44.54, Robert Nolan 49.57 (Debut). Full results will be posted this evening.

Rumour has it...

Rumour has it that there will be a gathering of Trilogy people to be found on the 16th of March at Rumours in Laois Open Door Theatre in Dunamaise Arts Centre. If you'd like to join the crew there, you can phone Dunamaise on 057 86 63355. The Bankhouse Restaurant (where we had our Christmas Party) is the recommended spot for pre Theatre food. Of course there's a strong chance people might congregate again after the show for a few drinks to toast our very own Patrick Marshall's acting debut success on the night. Hurry, hurry, hurry... Get dialing and booking those tickets as soon as possible. For those who are unable to attend on Friday night... the experience can also be enjoyed on the Thursday night the 15th.
