The infamous ODL for Tri Laois

Today is the last chance to get your one day license to race on Saturday if you don't have a full 2012 membership Triathlon Ireland card. This is needed as well as your race entry. If you know anyone who is doing their first race this weekend please check with them that they have their TI part of the race entry sorted out. It'd be a shame to turn up and not be allowed race after all the hard work that's been put in up until now. It's all getting very exciting now!!!

Test Tri 1

On Saturday we will be holding the first Test Triathlon of 2012 at the Heritage Hotel Leisure Centre (register from 7:45 to 8:00am outside the car park). For the many new members who we have welcomed to the club, there is a short guide to the race at This Link.

All members, new and old, please take a note of the following:
  1. Like the Test duathlons, you will get a text later today from an 086 number. To register to help or to take part, please reply to that number (and that number only) BEFORE 9pm tomorrow (Thursday). On Friday morning I will put all the names and waves up here.
  2. If you are not a member of the Heritage, you need a guest pass from them to take part. These cost €10, and we will be collecting these before the test tri starts. Please try to bring the correct amount. Heritage members do not need a guest pass
  3. We will be using the Freelap watches, and there will be a brief demo of these before we start.
  4. We are introducing a handicap prize this year so that members of all abilities have something to aim for
  5. If you are not racing then please come and help out.

8:15am - closing of sign-on (no late entries)

Tri-Athy, Portlaoise Tryathlon and Races

Hi Everyone,
As we head into the Easter long weekend I just wanted to remind everyone of a few things
  • Tri-Athy - remember we will need absolutely everyone to marshal on Saturday and Sunday of the June long weekend. Please keep this weekend free.
  • Portlaoise Tryathlon - a large number have already signed up to marshal. If you have not already done so, please register now at Portlaoise Tryathlon
  • The club race entry service is now closed however there are a large number of races open on Triathlon Ireland website so if you haven't entered all your races for this summer yet, now is time to do it as these races will fill up in the coming days/weeks. In particular, Brian Boru which is our club weekend away is still open for entries.
Finally, have a great Easter weekend and stuff yourselves silly with Chocolate!
