Race Reports a Plenty.

Many thanks to Dave Osborne for his TWO race reports covering
Hook or by Crook and Hell of the West. <--- Click links to view.

If ever there was a sign that we are now officially down to the proper business of what Trilogy is really all about this is it. Many of you will know Dave suffered some pain at Hook or by Crook, but not to be deterred he chose to suffer some more a short week later at Hell of the West. Enjoy the read. Great reports Dave. If anyone else would like to provide us with another report on these races from a different perspective we would love to include it here.
Link to race photos can be found here on Limerick Tri Photo Page 1. & Photo Page 2

Hell of the West '12

Best of luck to everyone heading west this weekend. I reckon the skies must be near empty by race time. There can't be much more left to fall. Have a great race and don't forget to remind the seas to spit you back out again. They near held onto me there last year. Have a fantastic race and remember, we want race reports. Those of you who were in Dun More East might consider coining a few lines for that race perhaps too???

Committee update

Hi all,  As we come out of the TriAthy weekend and into the racing season proper, I just wanted to give you a brief synopsis of our lengthy Committee meeting last week. The key points covered were - Website. Patrick Marshal has put a phenomenal amount of time and effort into updating our website. The main driver behind this is to remove some of the rigid structures of the existing site to make it easier for everyone to update and easily post photos and race reports. By upgrading we are also future proofing the website and allowing changes to be made more easily in future. The website is 90% of the way there and we will be asking some members to road test it before it goes live - Club gear. Trish gave us an update on the Trisuits. The aim was and is to produce a more comfortable and durable Trisuit in the same deign as the existing suit. We are asking B2R and Champ Sys to see if they can meet our aim. We will get samples from both and feedback from as many members as possible before deciding on the best match for our design and our comfort/durability aim. We also intend to order Hoodies and Beanies. You'll see more from Trish on this in due course - TriAthy. Trilogy members yet agian put in a massive effort throughout the weekend.      TriAthy had a very successful weekend largely due to Trilogy's contribution. A debrief with the laois marshals is planned for later this month. If anyone has any comments or suggestions then please send through to me - address below.  A handful of members could not help out at the weekend ( many for work reasons). It was decided in the interest of fairness that members who did not marshal at TriAthy nor TriLaois will be asked to volunteer for other duties.  On the positive side, Susan Wall deserves a special mention as she provided 7 marshals and will have her race entry refunded. Any marshal who marshalled on two days will be entered in a draw with 4 prizes: race entry to their race of choice including TriAthy 2013, winter swimming package, pilates traing package, cycle superstore voucher. More on this in due course.  - Denise is exploring how we can expand our training for juniors this summer. More on this from Denise  - Upcoming races: Dunmore East which a lot of members have entered is next weekend. Hell of the West is the weekend after. Test Tri 3 is 30th June and Test aquathon is 11th July. Goo luck to everyone racing in the coming weeks. I still have to get the test results spreadsheets sorted and the handicap scores published.  - Training: we discussed in detail but Denise will update your directly.  - london 2013 - we are planning a club trip away to the world championships in London in 2013.  We will put a separate post up on this shortly.  So there you go, that's what keeps the Committee up late at night. Any questions, comments, suggestions or offers of help then let me know seamus@trilogy.ie.

Swim cancellation

The Barrow swim is cancelled this evening (Friday) due to high water level and fast rate of flow.

Tri Athy Night Out

Don't forget Square Bar from 9pm tomorrow night for all those who helped at Tri Athy - you all deserve it.  I for one was wrecked after it, definately easier to race.  Helena will have the cheque book out.

Another Great Event

Hi Guys, Many Thanks to all our members, loved ones, friends and volunteers who helped stage yet another great TriAthy. You did the club proud once again. The smiles on the competitors faces said it all.Well done to all those who competed. Time to chill for the rest of the weekend and rest those weary bodies. Don't forget our little get together in the Square Bar at 9pm next Saturday Night (9th June). But never fear there will be plenty of training lined up for next week. Bring on Dunmore East in 2 weeks time.
