Welcome to Winter!

Allow me to introduce Bobby Behan as one of our new coaches. Bobby, from Killenard, is an accomplished triathlete on the world stage, who has trained with and raced against all the top names in triathlon today. And Bobby is ready to share this experience with you.

As part of the new Winter Training sessions, Bobby will be our swim coach, offering advice on stroke, technique and endurance, and rejuvenating your swim. This is a golden opportunity for Trilogy, don't let it pass you by!

Bobby is also planning to set-up a series of limited-number training camps in Laois. With the best in the sport expected to attend, Laois will become the tri-academy for Ireland this Winter - watch this space for more.

The rest of the Winter Training schedule is just as exciting - we have spinning and fartlek back, and we also have a new session - 'Core Strength for Tri', an intensive Pilates workout that will improve all of your tri activities, swim, bike, run.

The new training schedule is now online, and available to reserve. We have two new instructors, two new venues, three hours per week coaching. You can pick and choose what you want to do, and you only pay for the session you want. See all the details here (lots of info).

Finally - don't forget to reserve your places in the classes you want, they are strictly limited and go on a first-come, first served. The class lists will appear here as they fill.

Lisbon, forget Lisbon!

The European Tri Championships and the opportunity to race for Ireland is still over 6 months away. But one member of Trilogy is preparing to travel and race for Ireland in no less than the Olympic Stadium, Athens.

Paul Brennan, who will be racing in the World Corporate Games for Bank of Ireland, finished out his preparation for the championships last Sunday at Emo where he claimed Gold in the club category with his clubmates in Portlaoise AC, in the Laois Novice Cross Country.

In the same race, Patrick Marshall, competing for St Abbans, claimed 2nd place overall. The race was won by Porlaoise's Jimmy McCormack.

So good luck Paul - make sure and file a report and some photos on here when you get back.

Lisbon - Just two places left

We started with 16 places, we now have 20 people listed as going. There are just two more beds available in the Lisbon hostel, so if you are interested in racing, or in supporting those who are, please get in touch asap. I will also keep a 'reserve' or waiting list if more than 2 more are interested. All the details, as before, at http://www.trilogy.ie/Lisbon2008.html

Club Gear - Early Birds please pay now!

If you haven't yet done so, please vote now for your Club Gear 2008-2009. Things are tight, and every vote does matter!

If you have already voted, and you want to take advantage of the €190 Early Bird kit price, please visit the Shop where you can now pay by credit card. Remember, the discount is strictly only valid until 31 October (price is €240 thereafter).
