St Stephens Day Time Trial

Laois Cycling Club have asked us to get involved in a fun event this year - and if successful, this will become an annual event. The idea is that teams of two compete over a 8-mile course for victory - both cyclists finishing together to record their time. Eoin from Laois Cycling has more:

"Karl, could you let your members know about the 2 up time trial on St Stephens day. We are meeting up in the Comfort Inn hotel at 9.30am. Everyone of all abilities is welcome - and we mean everyone ... the emphasis is on having a laugh rather than having a serious competition.

The course is 8 miles. We will pull names out of a hat and partner one person from the cycling club with one from Trilogy. The 2 have to finish together to record a time. There will be a prize fund of €200."

Sounds like a great event, the perfect way to shake off the excess of Christmas Day and still be home for Stephens Day Breakfast!
